There’s so many ways things could be better for this guy, but it is what it is, and they could be a lot worse. He’s got his partners and his friends, cool ass shapeshifting demon powers, and he’s got the living building that needs feeding to take care of. That last bit helps distract from the fact he’s not where he thought he’d be right now. The love of his wonderful partners keep him going and make everything worth it, too.

Relations

The Hotel: Caretaker. Is primarily responsible for keeping it fed, and keeping it safe from any who might seek to cause it harm. It’s a symbiotic relationship, it provides housing in return for the responsibility it demands. It’s a weird, but warm relationship.

Good friends with Moth, the second to encounter the hotel, which lead to a deep and understanding friendship.

Kippy and Leo are his two dear boyfriends. Borderline inseparable. Entered a relationship with Leo first since he was far more perceptive to Val’s advances, but Kippy followed along a while after he had to be directly told by Val that he was interested in him. (The Hotel was very invested in the ‘will they get together’ saga.)

Thinks Citri fun, and respects her skills, but can’t tolerate her for all that long.
