I'm fairly new to collecting vinyl records, my first was a copy of Fragile, from Yes, that I picked up at a thrift store for $5 many years ago. I feel that doesn't particularly count as I did not own and use a record player until 2023. I just wanted it for the novelty and the large art. Now I have a few more records, a player, I'm enjoying the mindfulness that listening to music on a record player brings, where you have the visual element of watching it gently spin around, being ready to swap sides or discs, ect. I think it's a great way to really pay attention to the music you listen to and not totally zone out. I'm looking forward to getting more in the future!
